Accoutrements part one: Masturbators! Tenga vs. Fleshlight

Today, we thought we’d take a slight detour from our normal posts about prostate massagers (we hope you’ll forgive and maybe even enjoy this departure!) While we’ve reviewed many prostate massagers that, by themselves, will lead to “orgasmic” results (pun intended,) today we’re going to give our readers some recommendations for accoutrements; add some of these into the mix to push yourself over the edge. The first in our series of installments on accoutrements is all about jackin’ it. That’s right, we’re talking about…

Masturbators

We’d be shocked if you haven’t at least seen one of these before somewhere. Essentially, they’re sleeves that you put your dick into. They feel better than your hand and (some of them) can be set up in a way so that the experience is “hands-free.” There are probably thousands of different iterations of this idea, but for brevity’s sake, let’s cover the front-runners: Tenga and Fleshlight. Both have their pros and cons, but rest assured, they will all drink your milkshake.

OK, enough screwing around with gifs…

Tenga

Tenga is a Japanese manufacturer of masturbators. Of their lineup, the most widely used and loved is the Tenga Egg series. These innocuous looking eggs hide within them some of the softest non-human material around. Simply open it up, add a little lube (which Tenga generously includes in every Egg) and go to town!

The Egg comes in many different textures, each with their own unique feel and experience; though not as durable as the Fleshlight, they feel AMAZING. Our recommendation is to pick up a 6-pack and try them all – for about $25, it’s a solid buy.

Fleshlight

On the other side of the Pacific lies Fleshlight; the American-made sex toys have become wildly popular within the last decade and are currently regarded as the gold standard of their industry. Made from their patented, ultra-realistic SuperSkin material, you’ll have a hard time not busting a nut in short order.

Our recommendation is start with either the Stamina Training Unit (which features a textured inside) or the original Pink Lady. Though Fleshlight products cost more than Tenga, we believe that their increased durability tips the scales in their favor, though YMMV.

Tenga vs. Fleshlight: Who wins?

We’ve given you the rundown on the most popular of both the Tenga and Fleshlight lines, but you might be waiting for us to say something more definitive. We get that, but it’s not that easy! Both are great products, with their own pros and cons. We’ll say this though: if you’re short on cash, go for the Tenga; if you’re not, buy the Fleshlight.
